The Rose Claim

The Rose claimsite covers 40 acres and contains massive zeolite deposits as the primary ore discovered thus far. It is well located, with the entrance approximately 160 feet off AZ Hwy 88, better known as The Apache Trail, near Apache Junction, AZ. Directions are available in the sidebar.

The zeolite deposit here has been assayed using X-Ray Diffraction and assays out as 95% clinoptilolite, which is an especially high grade.

And, according to a geological study done in Jan 2009, performed by Beck Environmental and Remediation, Ltd., it indicates the ore flowed to the surface through volcanic activity and formed a mushroom-like deposit of stem and top. Then, during late 1950's the top of the mushroom was mined and quarried off, leaving approximately 18,000 cubic yards visible on the surface, or about 18,000 tons of clinoptilolite.

The quantity of clino remaining in the stem is unknown and would require a drilling operation to determine the depth and outer circumference. However, Beck Environmental estimates that for every ten feet of depth, there exists an additional 30,000 to 35,000 cubic yards of zeolite.
